Hi, I'm Laura, from, and I'm going to talk about how to write a story in first person. Before you begin your story, if possible, read another piece of fiction that's written in first person. This'll help you to kind of get that idea of of a character telling the story. It's told, when the story is told in first person the character is telling the story and uses the pronoun I to refer to himself. It's often written as if the person was watching over all of the events and telling the story. So, to begin your story identify the character. You should have a good idea yourself who this character is, what some of his or her traits are, and what how his personality is going to impact the story. You might reveal this little by little during your story, but it's good for you as a writer to have an idea about your your character who's your narrator. You can use your narration in your first person story to reveal more about this the main character, the first person character. You can also use some of the conversation that your character has with other characters to reveal more about that first person character. Once you've written a first draft go back over your first person story. See if you are consistently using the first person voice. Make sure that you have maintained it throughout, and also, revise your story, write a second draft; possibly have another writer read it, and then continue to revise until you have a final draft. And that's a little bit about how to write a first person story.
