"Hi, I'm Laura, from youngwritersworkshops.com, and I want to talk about how to teach English. If you are an English teacher, including opportunities for students to write, as part of your English class, no matter your grade level, this is an important part of teaching the English language. You also want to include grammar, and usage, as part of what you teach, and even from the very earliest ages, include literature, whether it's a picture book, or at the young adult level, including both classic literature, and young adult contemporary novels. You also want to make sure that students have an opportunity for discussion, within the English classroom. Create times when they can raise questions, or give opinions, and then create a dialog about it. Learning spoken English, and some basic idea of rhetoric, is also an important part of an English course, so from the very earliest ages of students, it's important to teach students about learning to talk in groups, the rules of having a conversation, so those are some ideas about how to teach English."
