Hi, this is Rachael Richardson with Nutrolution Incorporated in South Beach, Florida. In this clip, we're talking about potential harmful effects of caffeine on the cardiovascular system. So first, you know, where do you get caffeine? Most people know you get it from things like chocolate, other foods like coffee. So these are just a couple of things that have high levels of caffeine in them. The reason why caffeine can be negative on the cardiovascular system is because caffeine actually stimulates the production of insulin, and insulin is known through many, many theories and many medical doctors who've been studying it over the past several decades to have kind of a domino effect on the cardiovascular system. So high insulin levels tend to lead to some liver trouble. They lead to higher cholesterol levels. They tend to lead to higher blood pressure, and so there's this whole...and weight gain. So all these things that run together in this syndrome X kind of system and syndrome. So definitely look to reduce your caffeine levels wherever you can, and this is going to help you maintain healthier weight and healthier cardiovascular system.
