Hi, this is Rachael Richardson with Nutrolution Incorporated in South Beach, Florida. In this clip, we're talking about the goals of the South Beach Diet. Actually, it just so happens that we're in South Beach right now, and I've actually happened to have the pleasure of meeting Dr. Agatston, who did write the South Beach Diet. And as a registered dietitian, I would actually condone and recommend the South Beach diet. The goals of the diet are to basically improve totally cardiovascular health, as well as to improve weight health. So doing that through, really, a lot of moderation in the diet, but really, really cutting back on sugars and refined starches and looking at balance between the proteins, the healthy fats, and the carbohydrates. And that's really the philosophy that I also teach my clients. So one thing that's in the South Beach Diet that I've always liked is their frittata recipes. So using eggs and various vegetables, including things like asparagus, broccoli, other types of vegetables that you can mix in, saute, and using olive oil, and cook into a little frittata. Put it in little cupcake containers, and you're ready to go for the...for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks. This has been Rachael with Nutrolution in South Beach, Florida.
