Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today I'm going to talk to you a little bit about primary data. Now primary data, let's say you're doing a study, and primary data is going to be the raw results that you get back during your study. Could be a questionnaire, could be a survey. It's basically data that you received that you haven't manipulated or grouped in any way, shape, form or fashion. It's just the raw data that was given back to you from your survey questions. Let's go to the computer here and I'll show you how to find resources on primary data. I basically just went to google.com and did a search for primary data, and one of the very first results that came up was one that I thought was good to show. And this was an explanation of how to collect primary data. Basically if you want to go and find results for how to, let's say you want to give a questionnaire and you want to gather your results from people, this is some examples of what you could use as primary data for your study. Now what you would do with primary data after you've received it, you would then put it into a computer program such as Excel or some other data manipulation program, and you would create your result sets and find graphs and interesting data based upon the data that you receive. But primary data is the raw, unformatted data. My name's Dave Andrews, and I've just told you a little bit about primary data.
