"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today I'm going to show you how to stop your desktop icons from moving. We're going to do this by using an icon grid which is built into Microsoft Windows. Let's go to our desktop and I'm going to actually create a few more icons here on my desktop. And to keep them from moving around, we're going to right click and basically go over to sort by, rather under view, we want to select both the auto arrange and align to grid icons and check those. They're currently checked so I'm going to uncheck them and show you what would happen if I tried to move my icons. Basically I'm able to take these and drop these icons wherever I like and as you can see that can get really clumped up and bad looking. So Windows will allow you to arrange them to a grid automatically. Just right click, go to view, we want to select auto arrange, that puts them in a nice little block format here. But I can still kind of move them around quite a bit. So we want to go to view again and say align to grid and that's going to make sure that these icons stay nice and aligned and aren't allowed to move just anywhere on the desktop and basically that stops them from getting all clumped up and making your desktop look really nasty. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just showed you how to stop your icons from moving on your desktop."
