"Are you looking at recent declines in stock prices and have you decided that it is time to buy? Hi this is Roger Groh at Groh Asset Management. If you are thinking about buying stock maybe you are thinking about o'kay where can I do it? Well if you go on the internet and you do a search of most major banks or stock brokerage firms certainly you can open up an account there and buy and sell through their online sites or personally. There will probably be big differences in commission prices that you pay though depending upon the firm and what you ask of them so be sure and do your homework ahead of time so that you know exactly what your fees are going to be as you go about buying and selling. If you also do more research on the internet you might find some brokerage firms that trade for free. They might but they have to get paid somehow and either they are getting it in the spread of the stock or you are not getting quite the rate that you would have in the money market fund but somehow or other they're getting paid and there is nothing wrong with that as long as you understand it. Firms that you might think about trading where commissions are cheap might include Charles Schwab, White Pacific, TD Ameritrade. We are not recommending any one of those just saying that their trading costs are cheap and it might be a place to start looking at avenues for you to do your buying and selling. I'm Roger Groh at Groh Asset Management. Thank you very much for spending time with me."
