So, what, what should we look for when we're going to buy a French Horn. Well, first of all, there are two different types of horn that you can buy; new and used. If you want to buy a new horn, make sure that you know the type of instrument that you want to buy before you plunk down the money to buy the instrument, and the best way to do that, if you're young, is to consult your teacher. There might be certain things that professionals play in your area of the country, certain types of instruments that are played that you want to be aware of so you can use the instrument for a long time. Now, if you're going to buy a used instrument, again, if you're young, the best thing to do is have a professional, or have your teacher check it out to make sure that it's in good mechanical working order, make sure that there are no major problems that will probably take a lot of money to get fixed. And the easiest way is to just have your teacher play the instrument.
