How to Make Paintball Gun Silencers

"I'd like to take an opportunity to discuss with you about paintball silencers. Well, the term silencing is not really applicable to the paintball industry. There are things that you can do to quieten your shot, but they do not make a functional suppressor or silencer for a paintball gun. You can do things to help yourself out. First of all, I would like for you to research the manufacturer of the gun you would like to own because, as each gun is different, they have different operating systems. These guns incorporate a system that has moving parts that strike each other on the inside of the gun. This causes the gun to be a lot louder. BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Others do not incorporate this system. They have controlled bursts of air that move the ball forward and there's nothing that actually hits at each other inside of the gun. This allows for the gun to operate at a much quieter volume. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Additionally, barrels play a key role in the silencing of your shot, as well. Some barrels are more heavily ported and better control the sound. Additionally, they make barrels after market that are extremely ported and fluted. This allows for the dispersal of the sound at a greater level. Also, it is not recommended that you ever try to make your own silencer or suppressor. Doing so can cause dangerous situations. You may inadvertently cause an accident by some, something flying off of your gun and striking another player or coming apart and maybe striking yourself. Fields do not allow these and you should not attempt it. And that is silencing your paintball gun."
