"People are eligible to join AARP when they turn fifty years old. It's just that simple. Now, someone can join earlier as an associate member, but by and large the vast majority of people join when they turn fifty. It couldn't be more simple: you can apply on line; you can get a brochure with a little tear out card, fill it out and send it in. There are just a variety of ways you can do it. You can use a credit card, you can send a check. It's just very easy to become an AARP member. They just want to know your basic information; how your contact information, they already know your age, but just your basic personal information. Simply send it in with your twelve fifty a year that it costs for both you and your spouse to be a member. It really couldn't be more simple. Then in return for that, in a short period of time you'll begin receiving the AARP publications and various other information from AARP that will be important to you as you look ahead."
