Hi I'm Rachael Richardson with Nutrolution in Miami Beach, Florida. In this clip we're talking about the benefits of taking vitamin D. Vitamin D is one of those really interesting nutrients because it comes from different sources then what we might think. So one of the sources is the sunshine and actually that's what activates our own vitamin D in our bodies and definitely getting sunshine is probably the best way to get vitamin D. There are a couple of other ways. You can get it through certain foods including natural healthy raised dairy foods is rich in vitamin D including butter. Also cod liver oil has vitamin D in it, a healthy form. I also recommend that especially people who live up north or aren't getting much sun exposure due to their jobs, that they take some supplemental vitamin D and this is one that I recommend and carry. And this is a vitamin D3 supplement and basically vitamin D is incredibly important for your immune function, over everything else that's probably the most important function of vitamin D in the body.
