"Hi, I'm Rachael Richardson with Nutrolution in Miami Beach, Florida. In this clip we're talking about how many calories a day a toddler should consume. And so it's all based on the size of your toddler as well as the activity level. But just looking at a basic thirty pound active toddler, you're looking at somewhere around seven hundred to a thousand calories a day is probably a safe amount for your toddler. You'll always want to gage it based on their growth and you want to make sure that you're not just looking at total calories, that instead you're looking at total nutrition in terms of making sure they're getting plenty of protein, plenty essential fatty acids and plenty of minerals and vitamins from their fruits and vegetables. One snack that I know toddlers enjoy that is a little non conventional, much healthier than the typical crackers or Cheerios or something starchy without nutrition, is these crackers. These are my favorite crackers because even though they're crackers they're not very highly processed. They're made up of brown rice, quinoa, sesame seeds, flax seeds and all those things contribute lots of minerals to our system rather than just getting empty carbs, for you and your toddler. This has been Rachael with Nutrolution in Miami Beach, Florida."
