Hi, I'm Rachael Richardson with Nutrolution in Miami Beach, Florida. In this clip we're talking foods to lower your cholesterol. So first of, let's just do a basic review of cholesterol. And there is definitely good cholesterol and there's bad cholesterol. Your good cholesterol, and it actually breaks down further from there. But your over all, your good cholesterol is your HDL. And your bad cholesterol is your LDL. And so your, LDL is actually carrying cholesterol to the arteries to repair cracks and legions. Which is actually necessary, if you have cracks and legions in your arteries. And then your HDL is taking that cholesterol away from your arteries back to the liver. To be disposed off. And that's why you want to balance. One food that I brought to light today, is an avocado. And an avocado is kind of a fun one. Because I've had so many medical doctors ask me whether avocados have cholesterol in them. And the answer to that question is no. Absolutely not, the only foods with cholesterol in them are foods that come from animal tissue. So meats and cheese and things like that. But even those don't raise cholesterol. There's a whole set of other foods that actually are responsible for higher cholesterol levels. We can get into that on another session.
