Here's a few beginner drum beats that you can play in a number of different settings, mostly popular music and you can take these and you can expand on them as you get more advanced. So the most basic drum beat is the bass drum on one, two, three, four and the snare drum on two and four with your high hat just playing eighth notes. So here's what that sounds like. Here it is a little faster. So you take that, you can expand on it for example by mixing up the bass drum pattern. Or you can change around the snare drum pattern. So you're still sticking with the snare drum on two and four, the bass drum on one and three but you're expanding on it. Other things you can do that are still basic drum beats but they're going to start helping you to expand are to play with two hands on the high hat, alternating. You can also try opening up the high hat. So those are a few basic drum beats you can try and then you can expand on those as you get more advanced.
