Hi this is Rachael Richardson with Nutrolution Incorporated in South Beach, Florida. In this clip we are talking about the South Beach Diet Meal Plan and how you can follow this properly so of course if you really want to follow this to the tee you should get a copy yourself and read it, however, just to tell you in a nut shell basically the plan is divided into three stages, stage 1, stage 2, and stage 3. Stage 1 includes pretty much a total elimination of any refined carbohydrates and even high sugar fruits and vegetables so you are actually really eliminating those fruits and vegetables and those high sugar foods. The point is to get your metabolism revved up to get some quick weight loss to get some fat being burned as energy. Stage 2 focuses on reintroducing some of those higher sugar fruits so reintroducing things like apples, reintroducing I believe like some sweet potatoes and foods like that so that your body is kind of more moderate and then stage 3 is basically more of a maintenance so that you can actually start to eat kind of a normal diet but in moderation so that you don't go backwards.
