Ways to Get Rid of Acne Fast

"Hi, I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and makeup artist at Ulta Salon and Cosmetics, and I'm going to give you some tips on how you can get rid of acne fast. The first thing you want to do is make sure that you're using a really good antibacterial acne cleanser that's going to help to reduce the amount of surface bacteria on the skin that can lead to more clogging and more breakout. And it's also going to help to get rid of and kill the acne bacteria that's already existing in the pore. The next thing that you can do is you can actually steam the face and help to bring any clogging to the surface, and then you can actually go through with either a blemish extractor or your fingers wrapped in gauze and help to remove any clogging. The next thing that you would want to do is you can...about a couple times a week, you can use either a clay or a sulphur-based mask, and that's going to help to draw impurities out of the pores. You want to make sure that you're using a really good acne treatment. This is a one-percent salicylic acid treatment. Basically what that's going to do is it's going to help to exfoliate. It's going to help to keep the pores really nice and clean, and it's going to help to reduce inflammation. You can also use a spot treatment to help those really persistent, resistant acne blemishes, and this is a sulphur-based one that's going to help to draw impurities out of the pores. Probably the most important thing to remember is if you're using a lot of acne products, you want to balance it with a good hydrator because a lot of acne products can really overstrip the skin, which, in turn, tricks the skin into thinking it's dry so it produces more oil, which leads to more clogging and more breakout. So you want to make sure you're balancing that oil and water ratio by using a good hydrator. So those are some ways that you can really get rid of acne fast."
