"Hi, I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and makeup artist at Ulta Salon and Cosmetics and I'm going to tell you how you can turn a sunburn into a tan. First of all, you should never really get a sunburn. It's not healthy for the skin, but if you do have one, and you want to turn it into a tan, the easiest thing to do is to get an after sun repair, such as this one here. This is a treatment balm and what it's actually going to do is it's going to help to restore natural lipids to the cells so you won't have so much damage from sunburn. It's also going to help to reduce the amount of peeling and the amount of irritation. Has a lot of calming, soothing botanicals in it that's going to help reduce any inflammation and irritation and it's also going to help to really hydrate the skin so you won't have a lot of peeling. It has hyaluronic acid in it which is basically a humectant. It helps to pull up to a thousand times it's weight and water from the air to really give you a nice, hydrated look. The next thing that you can do is use a tan emulsion such as this one here, and this basically works with the natural proteins in the skin to help to maintain a tan longer. So those are some tips that you can use to turn a sunburn into a tan."
