Hi I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and make-up artist at Ultal Salon and Cosmetics, and I'm going to talk to you a little bit about what causes puffy eyes. Puffy eyes can be causes from a lot of different factors. One of the most common ones is lack of sleep. When you're tired a lot of fluid or congestion can gather around that area and give you a really puffy or baggy look to your eyes. Another thing that's really common to cause puffiness is allergies or sinus problems. Those can cause a lot of congestion in the eye area which can lead to a lot of puffiness. Another thing can be some medications actually will contribute to congestion around the eyes and puffiness. One of the easiest things that you can do to try to alleviate puffiness is to use some really calming botanicals such as cucumber or chamomile is really good for around the eye. This is a really good eye cream and this actually will soothe puffiness really quickly. So if you just take a little bit of your eye cream, you can just kind of start at the brow-bone and work your way around using your ring finger. This is actually a lymphatic drainage move, so this is going to help to basically de-congest the area around the eye, it's going to get that fluid moving. And it's going to alleviate a lot of the puffiness. Then you can actually take your finger and kind of hold it here and that's a pressure point and that's going to help release a lot of that congestion as well. So those are some tips on how you can alleviate puffiness.
