Hi, I'm Kenny Scholers, house pro at Ten Pin Alley in Wilmington, North Carolina, we're out here on the lanes. How to take care of a bowling ball. Bowling balls are pretty fragile creatures actually and you wouldn't think so but when you get done bowling with it, you want to make sure to clean the bowling ball, that's very, very important because the ball is going to get a lot of grit on the lane from bowling everything so what you can do right here when you get done, you want to make sure that you spray some cleaner on the bowling ball and just wipe it off real good to get some of the surface oil and some of the grit off the bowling ball before you put it up. You want to make sure you've got a good bowling bag to put your ball in, it's got a cup in there, you want to put the bowling ball up in the bag. When you go to store your bowling ball, make sure that you don't just leave the bowling ball in the trunk of your car because it's going to be exposed to the elements, the bowling ball will actually contract and expand with the heat or the cold and your bowling ball will eventually get cracks in it. So you want to make sure that you don't leave it in the trunk of the car. You want to make sure to take inside the house or even better, if the bowling alley provides locker storage, you'll want to store the bowling ball so that it's in a controlled environment all the time. And that's the way you take care of your bowling ball.
