I'm Walt Case. I own Card Traders of Austin in Austin, Texas. We sell a variety of sports cards and sports memorabilia but we also sell some non-sports cards such as Pokemon and YuGiOh and Magic, The Gathering. The first Pokemon card was produced in nineteen-ninety-nine. It's called the basic set and the most popular card out of that set is still the Charizard card. It is the most expensive. That set was published in two releases. There was a set called 1st Edition which had an, a first edition indicator on the card. Those cards were produced in a far more limited number than what we call the base regular set. That makes those cards much more valuable. The Charizard card is what we call a holofoil card and there were other holofoil cards in that base set, first edition, that also have some significant value, but the Charizard still remains the most popular and the most expensive out of the early Pokemon cards first produced in nineteen-ninety-nine.
