"I'm Walt Case. I own Card Traders of Austin in Austin, Texas. We sell a variety of sports cards, sports memorabilia, as well as some non-sports cards. Pokemon cards were very popular in the late nineties and the early two thousands. Our business was very, very good in Pokemon cards, cards selling individually and also in packs. Since that time, the demand for Pokemon cards has gradually fallen off, so it is much more difficult to sell Pokemon cards in today's market than it was eight to ten years ago. If you're going to try to sell your Pokemon cards, you might talk to your local card shop that deals in non-sports cards, although the likelihood of them buying those cards is probably pretty slim because the demand is so low at this time. Probably, your best bet would....might be to use Craig's List, on an Internet site. Also, you might want to sell them to your friends, or better yet, trade them with your friends. If you really don't want your Pokemon cards anymore, you may also donate them, like to a children's hospital, because many times those organizations will distribute those cards to their patients. Otherwise, my recommendation would be to hold on to your Pokemon cards, and someday they may make a comeback, and they may again have some value and some sellability."
