"Alright, fly fishing is a great sport but a lot of people are intimidated by it because of the equipment involved. Now in the last few years fly fishing has become a lot more user friendly and in fact with just a few pieces of equipment, you can get out on the river and start fly fishing. Now most bait and tackle shops offer nice combo setups of fly rods with the line already on it. They're usually inexpensive like 50 or 60 dollars. Then all you're going to need are your tippets for attaching to your fly line and then a few boxes of flies depending on where you're at and the time of year that you're going to be fishing. A vest, a fly fishing vest is nice to have, keeps all your stuff in order. A pair of hemostats is important to have when taking hooks out of the trout. Another important thing is to have a nice landing net with this nice soft mesh that doesn't damage the trout. And another thing you're going to want to consider pretty early on when you're trout fishing, fly fishing for trout, is a pair of waders. Often times when fishing in rivers, shore access is limited so you're going to have to get out into the water. If it is summer and the water is not running too cold, a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of shorts will do, but you're going to find you're going to be a lot more comfortable in a paid of waders."
