"Spinner baits are a great way to produce bass in a number of situations. They come in all sizes and colors like this chartreuse and brown one I have right here. A little bit different thing about them is the way you attach them to the line. You can't just snap, simply snap a snap swivel on there because there's no close so the action on the lure isn't going to be right. So what you want to do when you're attaching a spinner bait is tie it directly to the lure. The type of knot I like to use in a situation like this is the improved fisherman's knot which I'll show you right here. So just balance your spinner bait on your line, give yourself a good 6 to 8 inches to work with and the first thing you're going to do is just make 5 twists around the line. Once you got your 5, you see that hole I have my pinkie through, you just want to thread the line through that and then when you do that you make another hole and just thread the line through there. Grab the tag end and the knot will just cinch down on the spinner bait just like that. And there you go, snip off the tag and you're ready to fish."
