Hi, I'm Noah and I'm going to show you how to make money from a website. Often people go to websites about one of their hobbies, but it's also nice if you can get some revenue out of it. And eventually, you can even build websites for the sole purpose of getting revenue from advertising on them. The first essential thing when trying to make money from your website on the Internet is to make sure that your website will have good search results so that a lot of users will click on it when they search for whatever subject your site is about on Google. A good way to do this is to pick a very specific subject, like here, Paludariums. Most people don't even know what a Paludarium is, so you can tell it's very specific. In fact, it's a kind of mix between an aquarium and a terrarium. So by having such a narrowed subject, we can be sure that there won't be too much competition and that the site will rank relatively well on Google. Now notice all these ads around the text. Just on this one front page, we have three different boxes of ads. These ads are supplied by Google's advertisement program called AdSense. AdSence is very easy to sign up for, and free, and it will allow you to place Google's banner ads which are targeted to your sites audience on your website very easily and to generate revenue from these ads. This revenue can either be per click, meaning every time somebody clicks on it, you will get a certain amount, and you'll also get paid per view, although the payment for for your ads being viewed on your website is obviously a lot smaller than if somebody actually clicks on that.
