"Okay, let's talk about instrument cables. The most usual type of instrument cable that you'll have is some kind of, either, basic mono or stereo cable. So this right here is a stereo cable. As you can see we have left and right, and it goes to what's called a stereo mini-plug. With instrument cables, you can tell by looking at it whether it's a stereo or mono plug, based on how many notches it has. If it has one black notch, like this plug does, it's a mono cable. If it has two black notches, like this one, then it's a stereo cable. These cables can be used for a number of different instruments. They can be used to record. They can also be used to amplify. The other really common type of cable you'll see is the standard quarter-inch cable, which looks like this. And this is the standard guitar cable that you see, it basically looks like this on both ends. Quarter-inch to quarter-inch mono. Guitars, basses use this. Now, this is the same type of cable used on electric drums sets, as well. So if we take a look here, you'll see that it's the same type of cable. Now these have two notches, it's a slightly....it's a specialized cable. It's not actually stereo, it is mono, but it has a second notch because it's a type of cable that's called a multi-way cable, and this electric cymbal has two spots where it can be hit, which is the bow or the rim. So, those are a few different types of instrument cables. They can....between these two types of cables you can pretty much plug in, record or amplify any instrument that has an electronic jack on it."
