"Okay, so we're talking about marching snare drum techniques. Marching snare drum techniques are pretty broad, but there's a few basics that every marching snare drummer will want to master. The first is going to be singles. Single strokes are very important for any marching snare drummer, and single strokes are just what what it sounds like; individual strokes with each hand. And as you work them up you can get faster. Double strokes are very important for marching snare drum technique, and that means two strokes with each hand, and when we work these up faster. And thirdly, the paradiddle; extremely important for marching snare drum technique, and the paradiddle is two single strokes followed by two double strokes, and we can get this up to a pretty fast speed. So, singles, doubles, and paradiddles, really important foundations for marching snare drum technique."
