"My name is Christine Marquette and I'm a registered and licensed dietitian with Marquette Nutrition and Fitness and I'm going to talk to you about some of the benefits of drinking Pomegranate Juice. Pomegranate itself is a fruit that is very high in many different antioxidants so it has the potential to have many health benefits. Research into Pomegranate is still in its infancy so we can't say for certain all the different health benefits it may potentially have but again because it is very high in antioxidants and we know other fruits that are high such as blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, we know some of the effects of those as far as possible reduction of risks of different types of cancer, improvement in memory, improvement in cognitive function. It stands to reason that some of these same benefits can be applied to Pomegranate Juice. So for that reason Pomegranate does have the potential to be an extremely healthy beverage. Again it has that potential to be of benefit for our cognitive function, possibly reducing our risk of cancer and various other diseases so Pomegranate can be a very healthy choice."
