"Hi, I like to speak with you regarding bronchial asthma. Bronchial asthma is a component of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, also known as chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder. It is a trapping of the air within the lungs which makes it obstructive disease because the air cannot escape. There are four areas that you would be concerned about that would give you the symptoms of whether you have bronchial asthma or not. First of all you would have a diagnosis from a physician. But if you haven't seen a physician, then a feeling of tightness in your chest will give you one clue. Another clue is difficulty breathing with the shortness of breath and then wheezing and coughing up especially at night. Now why do you have tightness in the chest? It could be because of the narrowing of the airways and the lack of getting out the dirty air. It could be because you have inflammation within the chest. But when you cannot get the air in or out, many times you feel like the chest is so tight that you can't get air in or out. But with bronchial asthma, it is a component of obstructive disease where the air does not come out easily. Your difficulty breathing, your shortness of breath comes because of the narrowing of the airways; the wheezing on expiration; when you exhale it sounds like a whistle because the airways are narrow. Also, and the coughing at night could be because of mucus plugs and then lying down at night it starts mostly because of the mucus moving away, moving into those bronchial tubes and blocking your air passages. And this is just a full little things that I can tell you about bronchial asthma and bronchial asthma is not to be ignored. It could be a life threatening disorder; so early diagnosis is the key to intervention."
