Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you how to remove mold stains from your carpet. A lot of the times you come in the door or there may be a wet area of your house that goes right up to the carpet just like and you may have mold around the edges or even if you had a big accident, maybe in the bathroom there was flooding or something like that, you'll have mold grow in the carpet and it's really dangerous. You can ask anybody, you don't want black mold in your house, it's bad for you to breathe in. So grab a shop vac or something with really good suction and try to suck up all the excess water that you can. Get it as dry as you possibly can. Then you want to kill the mildew. You can do that with rubbing alcohol, you can do that vinegar and water, just spray them on the area or work them into the area really well. And then you want to concentrate on the stain. You can use a commercial stain remover that you may buy at the store or carpet cleaner or something like that, they work really well or you can make your own using dish detergent and water. Or dish washing detergent and water, you know the liquid kind you just mix it in a bowl and get some on a sponge and rub the spot really well. After that's done, to prevent the mold from coming back and to prevent future mold, you've already saturated the area a lot with all these different things you did, you want to use your shop vac and your carpet cleaner like this one to suck all of the excess moisture up from the carpet. This is excellent because it comes with the solution. You can spray the area of the carpet, scrub it and then use this to suck up all the excess water. They're great. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and that's how you remove mold stains from your carpet.
