"My name is Bill Rae. I'm with Alumni Financial Services. I've been in the business and the finance world for well over twenty years, and today we're going to talk a little bit about online trading; what is it? Who does it? Well, in today's modern technology with the advent of the Internet and computers, and how rapidly information can be traded and tracked it opens up a world of advantages to the average investor out there. Investing is the act of committing money with the expectation of return of your money. With that in mind, do understand that you do need to talk with licensed individuals, or licensed brokers if you will if you're talking about public stocks and any type of stocks or trading. Online trading, I don't know any brokers that doesn't have that capability, simply means that you have the ability to use your computer to actually do transactions. Don't even need to speak to a human anymore. However if you're a novice definitely seek out advice. Every broker I know is willing to talk with you. Every bank has somebody that you can talk with about investments. What is it that you're looking to get done? How much risk are you willing to take? One thing I can tell you about stocks is that in the market when you invest you can lose. However, if you do your homework and you seek good counsel you can also build quite an est nest egg. So as always, our advice to you when looking around for stocks and bonds, whether it be online or in person, is make sure you do your homework. Make sure you understand your agreements or your contracts. Make sure you understand what it is that you're expected to put in, when you expect to get it back, and what type of returns you should get on your money. And as always, seek good, sound outside advice. My name is Bill Rae. I'm with Alumni Financial Services, and as always, we're here to help you build wealth."
