"Take a look at your feet right now. Hi this is Roger Groh at Groh Asset Management. Do you have sneakers on? Are they Nike's? Have you ever thought my gosh, so many people wear Nike's, I would like to buy stock in that company. A big caution note, the shoe or sneaker businesses are very difficult to make money in and although Nike has done a pretty good job over the long term, it's certainly not for the fainthearted. You need to have a lengthy in depth discussion with somebody who's very knowledgeable about that business before investing in any group within that sector. Other ways to participate, well sometimes the easiest way is to buy a shoe store that sells Nike's. Sounds strange, but sometimes that's where the higher value added comes in. Other ways to do it, Nike works in a lot of different countries, and sources from different countries. For instance if you're a Chinese company and you're making Nike sneakers, are you public? I'm afraid I'm going to leave that one up to you. I'm not suggesting buying Chinese companies but my ideas is to point out that you can buy Nike in many forms around the world. You can buy it either at the supplier level, at the shoe store level, you can buy it at the manufacturing level or you can buy Nike as a full blown public company here in the United States. So take a look at your feet, do they say Nike? I'm Roger Groh at Groh Asset and may the comfort be with you."
