"Hi, my name is Samir Malik and I'm a private tutor for middle school and high school students here in the Austin area. Today we're going to be discussing tutoring techniques. What are some techniques that's going to help the tutor achieve his or her goals as being a tutor. Now, there are various techniques which a tutor can apply but here are just a few that I'd like to illustrate for you all so you can understand some of the techniques that will help the tutor become a successful tutor. One is being able to have the appropriate qualifications to being a tutor. That's first and foremost. Secondly, is being able to advertise aggressively as a tutor in the community, letting people know about your services, keeping the community informed, whether it's talking to parents in the community, whether it's joining social functions and letting people in the community know about your services, whether it's talking to institutions like colleges, high schools, elementary schools, middle schools, any schools which have student where tutors can be able to his or her services will help that tutor be able to successfully market his services to the community. A then thirdly, would be, being an efficient and effective tutor, practicing and utilizing those ideas and concepts of working well with the student. Working well with the parents of the student and working well with the teachers of the student will help that student and the tutor achieve the academic goals which they are trying to seek."
