Video Transcript

"Today's topic is how to advertise online for free. And, in order to demonstrate some of those methods, actually, I'm going to just jump straight to the computer. What I'm going to do is type in the name of a business, and, as usual, multiple sites are going to pop up. What we're going to do is chase a couple of those rabbits to their sites to see what they're saying about us, and how that's affecting the market that we're trying to reach. So come with me while we type in the business name and the search that we want to perform. This website is an example of industry sharing. We do not pay anything for this box office mojo site, but it picks up our information from our information from our home page, or other industry records, and posts it on theirs. This is an example of a website that has picked our information off of some other industry websites, or perhaps our own website, and is posting just a generic information. We have the option to go in and register. We can register as the owner of this, and then we'll probably begin receiving requests to pay for enhancements to the advertising. People also have the ability to go in and rate our facility. But as you can see, the user gets information about your site with no effort on your part."
