"So how to invest in bonds. You invest in bonds the same way you would an equity or a stock or a mutual fund or anything else. You're really going to look for something that A, suits your needs -- find a bond that is going to pay a return that you feel is worth the time to sit with that holding. And a bond, of course, being a debt instrument is not going to show you the growth that a stock or a growth mutual fund will have. So what you're going to see in a bond is something that's very stable. If you buy the initial issue at par, you will get the bond for the par price. If you hold it to its maturity, you'll get that money back at the end. And all during the period of holding that bond, you're going to make interest along the way. And it'll be the stated interest they gave you upfront. So it's a good solid investment. It's not something you'll see a lot of growth out of, but it is a...it is something that will give you some income over time and will give you, you know, a stated return that you can see. So investing in bonds, you would do through your normal channels, whether it be online brokerage or a physical, you know, storefront location. And investing in bonds is actually very simple."
