How to Install an HDMI Cable to DirecTV

"O.k., I'm going to show you how to install an HDMI cable to a Direct TV receiver. Here's the back of a Direct TV High Definition receiver here. You'll see the little jack in the back that's labeled HDMI output. That is the High Definition video output that carries digital video. Also carries the digital audio as well. Here's an ID of the chord. This is a very proprietary cable. It will only go into that particular plug in the back. You don't have to worry about putting it in the wrong hole. It will not go anywhere else in the back of the receiver. And if you're worried about how to put it up. You know, the correct positioning or alignment of the cable. There is only one way that this will go in. Because of the way it's shaped. So you cannot plug it in upside down or side wards. It will only go in the right way. And of course, on the other end of the cable. It looks just like this. And that will go into your High Definition television. Do not try to use one of these, if you do not have a High Definition television. Because that will not go into a Standard Definition television. Very simple. Then you also must select the HDMI input on your television's menu system. To receive the proper signal from this. So you may have two or three HDMI inputs on your television. You'll select the correct one that you plugged it into it."
