Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you some tips on keeping cop, copper from tarnishing. You want to make a mixture that's about two-thirds lemon juice and one-third salt. Let it dissolve a little bit and have a rag handy that you can dip in the mixture and just apply it to the copper. The reaction with the metal and the the mixture will make the metal really shiny. It's pretty, it works pretty quickly. If it doesn't or you have a really tarnished copper, you want to exchange the lemon juice with vinegar and use two parts vinegar, one part salt. If you still have some problem areas or some fine detailing like the ridges around this copper, you can get a Q-tip and dip it in ketchup and apply ketchup to it. Let the ketchup dry and then wipe it clean with a wet cloth. Repeat that as many times as you need and your copper will look just like new. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and that is how you keep copper from tarnishing.
