How to Clean Vinyl Floors

"Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and I'm going to show you how to clean your vinyl floors. If you get any scuff marks on the floors, these are things that happen every day. Everybody whose got vinyl floors, had scuff marks on it before. A tennis ball, will rub any scuff marks right off of your floor. So keep one handy. You'll use it a lot. If you want to mop your floor, you want to sweep it, or vacuum it first. Make a solution using two gallons of water, with a splash of vinegar in it. Always use this to mop your floors. It won't create a wax build up, it's a disinfectant, it's cheap, it's easy, it's the safest thing for any floors in your home. After you've made your vinegar, and water solution, grab your mop, ring it out, and the floors will dry by themselves pretty quickly. Just mop your entire floors. You may want to turn on some lights, so you can see exactly where you need to hit some spots, and give them a little more attention. If you have stains on your vinyl floors, a really good solution to make is, this paste that I've made with laundry detergent, and water. If you use like, powdered laundry detergent, it works best, because it will really make a pasty substance. Mix it with water, and use this to scrub away any stains that you may have. If that still doesn't work, you may have to try bleach water. Which will be a third part bleach, and two parts water. If you need to let the bleach water sit, if you have some really stubborn stains, you may want to take a white rag. And I've got one right here. Let it get wet in the bleach water, and sit it on top of the stain. You want to cover that in plastic wrap, and tape around the edges of the plastic wrap, so the fumes don't escape, and let it sit there over night. When you wake up in the morning, you're going to remove the plastic wrap, the stain should be to the surface of your floor, and you should be able to wipe it right off.
