"Hi, my name's Justyn, with Justyn Paul Management, and I'm going to talk with you today about how to make business cards. This is a big topic, hot topic for a lot of my clients, especially those that are just starting their new business, or maybe have contacted me about re-branding their business. And business cards are are a huge part of that process, especially for brick and mortar stores and for service businesses that have a local presence. Business cards are just an invaluable way to connect with people, to get your information into their hands, and to reinforce your brand. So, the first thing that I that I have to ask people is well what is their budget? How often do they think they're even going to use their business cards? If they're a retailer they only may, they only may give away a hundred business cards in two or three years, but a a service business like an attorney or a plumber may give away hundreds of business cards in a month, so that's the first thing is I have to understand their budget. So, know your budget, and one of the things that you can do is you can actually print business cards on your home computer or your on your on your office computer. If you're going to do that buy very high quality paper that you can print on. There are lots of great kits that you can buy at an Office Depot or an Office Max that have excellent business card. Basically, what they are is they're on a on a piece of paper and you can peel them off. You don't want the ones that have perforated edges. People can see those edges and you don't want to give them the impression that your business cards are cheap or that you don't care about your business cards. So, get the kinds of of pre-packaged business cards, the blank ones, that don't have any kind of perforated edges; that you'll actually peel off the paper. And what you want to do is use like a template. You can usually use Microsoft Word, and there are thousands of templates that you can get. The information that you want to include on your business card for any time you're going to print them is make sure you have a corporate logo, your corporate identity, your your name, your title, your phone number, fax number if you have it, web address if you have it. The the basic point here is to give them the important information so they can get hold of you very quickly if they need to. You always want to take every opportunity to reinforce your brand, so that's why you have your logo on there. Many businesses go ahead and include a tagline on there that kind of says a little bit about what the company does. And the other thing you may want to consider is going and printing with a professional printing firm. I use printplace.com. They're fast, and it's real easy to upload files, and it's very inexpensive, and they do great work, and have been very reliable for me. And what you can do there is you can print on both sides of the cards. You can do full color on the front, full color on the back, whatever you need to do. And so those are the two ways you can go. You can either do it at home for yourself, or you can print it professionally. It takes a couple of days, maybe a week to get those business cards in that way. And again, keep your your primary information limited to your logo, maybe a tagline, your name, your title, and basic contact information."
