"Hello my name is Dr. Carol Clark. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and sex therapist here in Miami, Florida. In this clip we're going to talk about different methods of birth control and while birth control mainly falls upon the woman you guys need to take some responsibility as well. Abstinence is the most effective means of birth control and the next one would be barrier methods such as male condoms, female condoms, cervical caps or diaphragms. Those are some barriers that actually prevents the sperm from reaching the uterus. Then there is hormonal methods and these fall on the woman. You can take pills or using an IUD which releases hormones into the uterus. Another one is the calendar method and this is a natural method that uses a woman's natural cycle to measure when her most fertile periods are. Once again this is Dr. Carol Clark in Miami, Florida."
