And Deprovera is an injectable hormone that can be used for both contraception in women and to reduce libido in men. Now the side effects for women are different strokes, heart attacks, nausea, soreness in the breasts, all the typical side effects that women get when they take any kind of hormones. For men the side effects are feminizing effects such as breast development and softening of the muscles.
