"How to take care of nuisance wild life, rodent and pest problems. This is Ed with Critter Control of Tampa Bay. What are bats afraid of? Boy that's a great question. What are bats afraid of? I was up in an attic, the bats where on the other side of the house from where the hole was where they were coming in and out. Why? There was a red rat snake that had crawled up into the attic space and was laying right there by the in and out door that the bats were using. They're afraid of red rat snakes. I went to another job. There was a spots of bloods below the exit point where the bats were going in and out. Why? The owl that was on the top of the telephone pole next door was nailing them right when they came out. I know they're afraid of owls too. What else are bats afraid of? They're afraid of cold weather, they're afraid Santa Clause won't come. There's a lot of things bats might be afraid of, larger animals, but they really don't have too many predators. The young juvenile bats do because they don't fly all that well and they'll be picked up off the ground or nailed during early flight. Bats aren't afraid of too many things but they'll take care of themselves. This is Ed with critter control in Tampa Bay."
