A mixture of vinegar and water is a gentle way of cleaning non-washable walls in a house, and bleach should never be used for this purpose. Avoid taking paint off of non-washable painted walls with help from a professional house cleaner in this free video on non-washable painted walls and cleaning tips.
Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you how to clean non washable painted walls. One of the most gentle things you can use to clean the walls of your house, or anything in your house, is vinegar and water. Always keep it in a spray bottle under your sink. And if you can just get a little bit on a white rag, very gently rub your walls. Make sure it's a soft cloth. It will clean them wonderfully. This is a lot more gentle than bleach and water. Bleach and water is definitely going to fade your walls, and I would never use bleach and water unless I were planning on repainting the wall. Another really great tool for cleaning walls, is the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. The problem with non washable painted walls, is you may not want to concentrate on one spot too often with this tool, because it can take the paint off of the walls. But, if you have crayons, marker, something like that, that you can't seem to get off, the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will get it off. And you barely, barely have to add any pressure, you just wet it and ring out the excess water, and in a circular motion, very, very, very gently, it'll take off any marks that you have on your walls. It's pretty easy. Once the Magic Erase has been worn, the, you know, it'll get discolored around the edges, and you just use a different surface of it that looks nice and white. I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and that is how you clean non washable painted walls.
