Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you some garage storage ideas. If you have a garage and maybe you have lived in your house for a long time. It becomes an easy place to throw things just so you don't have to see them any more inside the house but just because you throw something in your garage does not mean it is gone and eventually you won't be able to park your car in your garage which is really what you want to use your garage for. First you want to get rid of everything that you don't absolutely need. If you've got silly putty from 1974 that you just can't let go of, it doesn't have any value, not everything is sentimental. If it is that sentimental maybe put it in the attic but don't be a pack rat is I guess what I'm saying. There are things that you may have to keep in your garage like Christmas decorations or if you have kids that play soccer, soccer balls, sports equipment, things like that buy these storage bins like this and label them so that you don't have to look through every single bin to find exactly what you're looking for. This one could say Christmas decorations. This one could say soccer uniform. This one could say whatever, you know, car cleaning supplies. If you can get some shelves and get some boxes that will get a lot of stuff out of your way. The second thing is see what you can hang. A lot of stuff can hang from the walls or hang from the top of your garage like bicycles, a lot of tools, cords, things like that, like over here if you can hang stuff up it is out of the way, it is not even touching the floor and it makes it look so much more organized. So I guess what three things you need to remember is get rid of anything you do not need, sort everything into its own little groups, its own little boxes and hang what you can. You should end up with enough garage space to pull your car back into your garage and you won't have to wash it as often. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and those are some garage storage ideas.
