"Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you how to remove paint from hardwood floors. First off, you want to determine what type of paint it is, and is it still wet. If it's still wet you have a better chance of actually getting it out of the floor. And if it's a latex paint, like a water based paint, usually warm water and a rag will remove it. If you have an oil based paint, you may have to grab some mineral spirits, and try to remove it that way. Or, if the paint is dry, you may have to go grab the paint thinner, and that of course is going to take the finish off the floor. But the paint thinner will remove the paint, and you can then sand that one area and put a little bit of finish over it, and your floor should look brand new in that spot. There really is no easy way to clean dry paint off of hardwood floors. And it is going to take a little bit of work, but it's so worth it. Because hardwood floors are beautiful. I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and that is how you remove paint from hardwood floors."
