The best way to remove blackheads is to exfoliate them away using an at-home glycolic peel, as picking at the skin can result in unsightly acne scarring. Eliminate blackheads through proper cleansing and exfoliating with advice from a board-certified dermatologist in this free video on skin care.
Hello, my name is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, Board Certified Dermatologist, and author of "Six Weeks to Sensational Skin." This is about the best way to remove blackheads. As a board certified dermatologist, I cannot stand to see people picking at their skin. When you do that, you're liable to give yourself some acne scarring, so one thing we're going to start with, is please keep your fingers away from your face, but none of us like to have blackheads, so what can we do? I highly recommend that you get an at home glycolic peel, and put it on not only on the blackhead, but all over your face, to prevent you from getting blackheads in the first place. Something like My Clear Slate, which is a 10% glycolic acid, is going to help your skin to really speed up the shedding of dead cells within your pores. If you've got a blackhead or two that are bothering you, you take the Clear Slate, and you dab it over those blackheads, maybe three or four times a day, and then for the rest of your face, put on something like a Clear Slate, a 10% glycolic, once or twice a day, to prevent the blackheads from forming in the first place. This is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo.
