"Hello, my name is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, board certified dermatologist, and author of "Six Weeks to Sensational Skin." This clip is about how to get rid of pregnancy acne. As a mother of four, myself, I try to be very, very cautious, and maybe over conservative in recommendations I give pregnant women. And basically what that means is the typical things that I love for acne, salicylic, bucolic, benzoyl peroxide, retinols, I don't want you using any of them during pregnancy. So the main focus, because we don't want to take any chances that the fetus would be affected anyway. So the main focus of treating pregnancy during acne is to see if we can determine what kind of healthy things you can do. Like, I want you to have a lot of antioxidants, a lot of fruits and vegetables, and drink a lot of water during your pregnancy. These are all very good health measures. Also you may be breaking out around the rim of your face, which could be as simple as your pores getting clogged from conditioner. So, limit your use of conditioner, and best of luck to you. This is Dr. Loretta."
