"Hi, I'm Dr. Carol Clark, I'm a sex therapist and licensed mental health counselor here in Miami, Florida. In this clip we're going to talk about how to reduce your libido. Why would you want to do that? Well if your libido or sex drive is interfering with your activities of daily living and preoccupying you to a point where your life is feeling out of control, then you may want to reduce your libido. And there's a couple of ways to do this. One is through the use of medications such as anti-depressant medications which reduce libido. Others are through the use of hormone treatments like depo provera which is sometimes called chemical castration, it may be a bit severe. And then there's behavioral interventions and by seeing someone, a sex therapist who is trained in sexual compulsivity, you can learn all the behavioral interventions that will help you regain a sense of control over your life and your libido. Once again this is Dr. Carol Clark in Miami, Florida."
