"Hi, I'm Dr. Carol Clark, I'm a sex therapist and licensed mental health counselor here in Miami, Florida. In this clip we're going to talk about how effective is using a condom. Of course there's two kinds of condoms, a male condom and a female condom. Male condoms are more prevalent because they're cheaper and frankly easier to use. Using a male condom is very effective. It can be up to 99% effective at preventing both sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy when it's applied correctly. And that means taking care of your condom, using a fresh condom, not keeping it in your back pocket or the glove compartment but keeping it in a cool, dry place until it's ready to use. And then slowly unrolling it over the erect penis, make sure that you use a water based lubricant if you use a lubricant and preferably use a condom with the end that can accommodate the sperm, the semen. When you remove it, make sure you remove it so that no semen leaks out and dispose of it completely. Use a fresh condom every time. Once again this is Dr. Carol Clark from Miami, Florida."
