Video Transcript

"Hi. I'm Dr. Carol Clark. I'm a sex therapist and licensed mental health counselor here in Miami, Florida. In this clip, we're going to talk about cures for gonorrhea. Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease that is bacterial in nature. And bacterial diseases can be cured with antibiotics. It's very important to make sure when you get treated for gonorrhea that you take the entire series of pills or shots that you're prescribed by your doctor. If you don't, then the gonorrhea bacteria will stay in your body and resurface, and will now be more resistant to treatment. If you have the symptoms of gonorrhea or you think you do; which is burning in the penis or when urinating, for women, or a discharge from the penis or the vagina; get checked by your doctor and then go on the antibiotics prescribed. Make sure to let your doctor know if you're allergic to any antibiotics. Once again, this is Dr. Carol Clark from Miami, Florida."
