Hi, I am Lenny from Addicted 2 Tattoos in Tampa, Florida and I am often asked where is the most painful place to get a tattoo, or where is the least painful place to get a tattoo? Most first timers who have never had a tattoo seem to be a little afraid of the pain they are going to have to go through when they get a tattoo, and yes it is a little bit painful but it is not terrible and if it hurts so much you would not see so many people with so much ink. But getting back to the question, where is the most painful place to get a tattoo I would have to say it is under your arms or it is along your rib cage or perhaps the lower back, those three areas are considered to be quite painful when you get a tattoo. So, chances are if it is your first tattoo you might not want to put it in those locations. Other areas that seem to bother customers who come in are their wrists, their knuckles, their hands, their necks, their feet, and their ankles. These areas also seem to be more painful to get a tattoo in those areas because in general most people do not have a lot of padding in those areas, there is skin there is tendons there is ligaments and then there is bones. If you go for an area that is a little bit more padded perhaps your shoulder, your hip, your upper back, your upper chest, those areas are a lot easier to take when you get a tattoo. So my advice would be do not start out in the most painful area which is definitely the ribs the under arms or the lower back, those can cause some problems and you might find that you get half way through that tattoo and you cannot finish it. So, think about where you are going to put that tattoo carefully and decide of you can take that. I am Lenny from Addicted 2 Tattoos in Tampa, Florida. Thank you.
